"You can hide those tired eyes"

Not exactly as the Eagles sang it but close enough:)

The past few weeks I've been dealing with "tired eyes" from not enough sleep or allergies, a bad head cold or too much blogging! When I look in the mirror, I see dark circles, puffy eyes, redness and not that sparkle that is usually there. When this happens, I have a couple of remedies that give these tired eyes a lift!

If it's allergies that are causing the puffiness, I usually start off with an antihistamine. I choose a non-drowsy formula. This really helps to reduce any puffiness on my lids and around my eyes. Next, I get out my eye roller. I keep this in the fridge for an extra de-puffing effect. It has a little roller ball that moves in every direction. One end allows you pick up and apply eye cream or serum and then us the other end to roll on. Or you can just do the rolling separately, which is the way I do it. It's quick and easy and it helps to get the puffiness down.

There are some eye masks that are good and there are some eye masks that are great.

First up are eye patches from Grace and Stella. They make four different ones. Their gold patch is primarily designed for anti-aging, if you're looking to reduce fine lines and add firmness. The pink patches focus more on hydration, soothing and brightening the undereye area and are great for sensitive skin and the blue patches, are dubbed "the energy drink eye masks". The have the ultimate cocktail of hyaluronic acid, plant-based collagen, peptides and niacinamide (vitamin B3). Together they hydrate, reduce puffiness and diminish dark circles. There's also a dose of caffeine which helps stimulate blood circulation, resulting in the appearance of a "less tired looking, more refreshed" under eye area. And the purple patches are very similar to the blue ones minus the peptides but add retinol to help reduce fine lines and wrinkles and glycerin, for added moisture retention. Any of these work wonders if you are looking to combat a myriad of issues! I use all of them! And now, all Stella and Grace patches are on sale now for over 30% off!

My friend Toby swears by the next eye patches. Drmtlgy Brightening eye masks come 60 in a jar and users love them. Toby started using them after her son told her about them and the rest is history. I had to try them, so I donned a pair, and they were just as great as she said. And they are currently on sale at 10% off!

Peauamie patches are dosed with hyaluronic acid and combat the puffiness, dark circles and wrinkles. And you can't beat Maskiss patches for effectiveness, quality and price. Puffy, dark circles, bags, fine lines, Be Gone!!

Now that the puffiness is done, it's time for a little brightening. I've mentioned this before but it's worth mentioning again because it is sooo good! Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser 160 is the bomb! The color to get for instant brightening is 160. It has a pink hue to it, and it literally is like an eye lift for under the eye. I cannot be without it! This Age Erase comes in other skin tones as well and I definitely recommend it to use with the 160. Use the one for your skin tone first, then the 160. Another option for a brightener is Catrice Under Eye Brightener. in light rose. It gets rid of the darkness and brings on the brightness!

Rule of thumb according to the beauty experts is to have two shades of concealer based on your foundation shade, one lighter than your foundation and one slightly darker. Sun exposure slightly changes our skin tone, and I like to blend concealers to get the right shade. Also, here's a little tip to get the right undertone for your concealer or makeup if you're not sure what it is. Slip on a white tee shirt or hold up a piece of white paper. If your skin has a yellow tone against it, then you have a warm undertone. If your skin looks pink or rosy, it's cool and if the white compliments your face without looking washed out, you are probably neutral.

No more puffiness, under eyes are brightened but eyes look a little red? Here's something to fix that! Lumify Redness relief works almost immediately to reduce redness and restore the eyes radiance. From Bausch and Lomb, it's the number one eye doctor recommended drops to relieve redness and restore brightness and luminosity!

By now your eyes should look like a Hollywood starlite. Dab on your current eye serum or/and eye cream and you are good to go!

Till next time
