Dorothy's famous line from the Wizard of Oz is something we say all the time. It never fails

that when I ask a person "how was the trip, the answer I usually get is "great time" but "glad to be home" or "couldn't wait to get back" or "feels so good to be in my own bed".

"Home" is that safe haven where we can put up our feet, snuggle in bed with a good book, and just be comfortable. It's the place where families and friends gather. It's a safe haven in a chaotic world. And there's no other place like it.

So, it's no wonder that we want our home to be a place that's inviting and comfortable. And that's what my new, category, "There's' no place like home" is all about. New Ideas, tips and unique items to make your living space as enjoyable and inviting as it can possibly be.

I love my bed, and I can't wait to get into it at the end of the day. So, I am always on the lookout for great bed linens. In the past I've bought Italian linens which are wonderful but are very, very pricy, so when I heard about these linens for this price, I was super excited.

I have a California King mattress, and I usually spend way over $100 for bed sheets but after I read the reviews on these and after I ordered my first set, I went back for more! Talk about cozy! They feel soft and smooth, have extra deep pockets so easy to put on and not to slip off. The colors are beautiful and after always buying "beige" I opted for the "Ice Blue" and the "Spa Blue".

Pillows are a very personal choice, and I tried so many until I got it right. These Coop Home Goods The Essence Down Alternative won. They work for side, back and stomach sleepers which is good for me because I try to sleep on my back but usually wind up on my side. I need a pillow with good neck support and this one has it. It also comes with extra fill, so you add or subtract the fill to meet your needs.

I love a down comforter, and I use mine all year long. There are a couple of things to take into consideration when buying one. First is the fill power. This measures the quality and loft of the down. The higher the fill power (600-900) means better insulation, warmth and fluffiness. The higher fill also means the comforter is typically lighter and more efficient in trapping heat. Another important factor is the baffle box construction. Look for baffle box stitching, which keeps the down evenly distributed and prevents clumping, ensuring consistent warmth. Comforters come in different weights, light, med or heavy depending on your climate. Comforter covers can be cotton which is breathable while microfiber is more durable.

APSMILE Feathers Down Comforter is my comforter. It checks all the boxes. The power fill is 750, it's medium warmth (which is great for me as I sleep naturally warm), the cover is a cotton/poly blend with gives it the breathability and durability. And its baffle boxed so the down stays where it should be. I love it and can't wait until I crawl under it every night!

Comforter covers are also a personal choice. I have a couple of covers from MooMee Bedding Duvet Cover Set. They are 100% cotton, have a washed linen look, are soft and comfy and come in a zillion colors. And because they are so affordably priced, I can get several. Depending on the season, I switch them out. Lighter colors for spring and summer and deeper shades for fall and winter.

One more thing to consider that I have and cannot do without. It's the Blissy Silk Pillow Case. It's made of 100% mulberry silk. Why is this important? Silk has enough "slip", so it doesn't tug at your hair, leave "pillow lines" on your cheeks and also keeps the pillow cooler because it does not trap heat. And it comes in every color imaginable. Is it a treat? Maybe. Do you need it? Maybe. Should you, have it? Of course!

Yes, Dorothy was right. There is no place like home. And you don't need a pair of ruby slippers to get there:)
